This is a high quality cut lead crystal finger bowl, probably dating to between 1820 and 1830.
The bowl has a thickened rim made from two discoid rings. The bowl is cut around its centre with a series of fifteen large rectangular panels. Below this there are two further applied rings. Just above the base it is cut with a further fifteen panels, approximately square in shape. The base has a large polished pontil.
It has a height of approximately 7.9cm and a diameter at the rim of about 13.3cm.
It is in good condition for its age, with no chips or cracks, although there are a number of wear and tear scratches to the bowl and the base. This wear is reflected in the price.
