High Quality British Cut Lead Crystal Square Spirit Decanter
For a full product description, see below.

This is a high-quality cut lead crystal square spirit decanter, probably British in origin and dating to the latter half of the 20th century.
The body is approximately square in section with chamfered corners. Each rectangular side is cut around the centre with three large criss-crosses, the upper and lower limbs of which come in to close approximation. In the diamond-shaped panel thus formed is a small lattice of interlocking criss-crosses. In the peaks and troughs above and below each cross is a deep vertical wedge cut. Each chamfered corner is decorated with a criss-cross with a deep vertical wedge cut above and below the centre.
The shoulder is moulded with eight curved facets that taper in towards the flattened rim. The base of the decanter is star cut and unmarked.
The stopper is of solid faceted ball form.
It has a maximum height (including the stopper) of approximately 25.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.4cm and a width across the base of about 9.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
