Early 20th Century James Walker Ltd Ebony Vanity Set in Original Box

This is a stunning and unusual example of a vanity set sold by James Walker Ltd (The London Jewellers) and probably dating to the first quarter of the 20th century.
The set consists of two hair brushes, two clothes brushes, a comb, and a mirror. Each piece is marked with the words ‘REAL EBONY’; the mirror also bears the words ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’. The comb is made from celluloid and is marked with the words ‘NON-INFLAMMABLE’ and ‘MADE IN FRANCE’.
The two hair brushes and two clothes brushes have small white inlaid dots at one end.
The set comes in the original box, which reads ‘JAMES WALKER LTD THE LONDON JEWELLERS’.
The mirror has a length of about 17.0cm, the hairbrushes have a length of about 26.3cm, the clothes brushes are 18.2cm long, and the comb has a length of 19.0cm.
The set is in very good condition, having hardly been used. The box has some wear and discolouration around the edges, which is to be expected from a set of this age.
