This is a nice example of an early 20th century pickle jar. The rounded body is cut in its lower part with a two rows of vertical thumb cuts that are staggered with respect to each other. The base is plain. The neck of the jar and the peg of the hollow stopper are both ground to allow tight fitting. The flattened stopper is cut around its edge with a series of eight olive cuts; it is also star cut in the centre. It has a maximum height of approximately 13.9cm. It is in good condition, considering its age, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the body.
