Denby ‘Greenwheat’ Design Tea Cup (2 3/8 inches)
This is a tea cup in the timeless ‘Greenwheat’ pattern by Denby.
This is a tea cup in the timeless ‘Greenwheat’ pattern by Denby.
The cup is round with an everted rim. It tapers in as it approaches the base. The handle is plain and strap-like. The exterior is glazed in off-white and has been hand painted with a stylised wheat design amongst stylised blades of grass. On the opposite side of the cup there is a small stylised tuft of grasses.
The cup is glazed in a dark blue-green shade on the interior.
PLEASE NOTE: each piece has been hand painted and therefore there are minor variations in the design and colours.
It has a height of approximately 6.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.7cm and across the base of about 4.3cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are wear and tear scratches to the surface commensurate with use.
