The pot has a rounded body that tapers in towards the slightly everted rim. The whole is glazed in off-white and has been hand painted with a stylised wheat design amongst stylised blades of grass. On the opposite side of the body there is a small stylised tuft of grasses. The lid is discoid with a notch on one side for placement of a spoon and a central flattened knop. It is glazed in dark green.
The base is marked in black with the words ‘MADE IN ENGLAND GREENWHEAT DENBY OVEN-PROOF’ and the faint printed signature of Albert College.
It has a maximum height (including the lid) of approximately 10.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.4cm and across the base of about 7.4cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some wear and tear scratches commensurate with use.
