Denby ‘Bakewell’ Design Stoneware Soufflé Dish (1 ½ PT)

This is a good quality vintage soufflé dish from the classic ‘Bakewell’ suite by Denby.
The dish is of classic form, with a tapering cylindrical body that is ribbed on the exterior, and a flared rim. The exterior is glazed in dark matte brown and there is a stylised floral pattern repeated twice around the body. The interior is glazed in mottled beige.
The base is unglazed, revealing the underlying ceramic body to be beige stoneware. It is marked in black with the words ‘BAKEWELL DENBY ENGLAND’ and the volume ‘1 ½ PT’.
It has a height of approximately 7.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 15.6cm and across the base of about 13.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
