Dartington Crystal FT5 1-Pint Tankard in Midnight Grey

This is a highly unusual lead glass tankard designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington Crystal. The tankard is approximately cylindrical, with a deep waisted mid section. The wide curved handle has been separately applied. The thickened base has a central polished out pontil. This tankard was one of the earliest designs by Frank Thrower for Dartington Crystal when it opened in 1967. It has a height of approximately 13.9cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 9.4cm and at the base of about 9.9cm. It has a liquid capacity of one pint. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
