Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II Large Glass Jug and Four Glasses c.1953
For a full product description, see below.

This is a highly attractive and unusual lemonade set produced to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2nd June 1953.
The jug is of classic form, widening out as it approaches the rounded, thickened base. The spout is drawn out from the heavily gilded rim. The handle is plain and angular.
The jug is transfer printed with the royal crest, surmounting a banner with the words ‘CORONATION OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II JUNE 2ND 1953’. This is repeated on the opposite side. There is a fine circumferential band of gilding at the uppermost attachment of the handle, and a further thicker band at the lowermost attachment.
The base is plain and unmarked.
Each of the four glasses echoes the design on the jug, although the crest is printed only once.
The jug has a height of approximately 20.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.9cm and across the base of about 11.0cm. Each glass has a height of approximately 12.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.4cm and across the base of about 5.3cm.
It is in good condition, although one glass has a minute chip out of the gilding at the rim. This wear is reflected in the price.
