Collectible 1950s Vintage Siamese Cat Ceramic Figure

This is a nice example of a Siamese cat ornament, probably Continental in origin and dating to the 1950s. The figure is hollow and made from beige ceramic. It is decorated with patches of brown on the tail, chest, feet, face and ears. The face has been hand painted with details, although these are crudely done and are slightly worn. It is unmarked. It has a maximum height of approximately 33.0cm. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is a cooling crack on the base (as seen in the picture). This is a manufacturing artefact and does not detract from the piece in any way. As previously mentioned, the paint on the face is worn. There is also some crazing to the glaze.
