Fishley Holland

William Fishley Holland (1889 – 1970) worked at the family pottery in Fremington, North Devon, from 1902 to 1912, when his grandfather, Edwin Beer Fishley died and the pottery was sold. He subsequently went to work in nearby Braunton, where he managed the pottery. It was here that he taught Michael Cardew how to throw pots.

In 1921, the Braunton Pottery was sold and William moved to Clevedon in North Somerset, where he opened his own pottery.

Legacy Antiques stocks a varied selection of art pottery, with Fishley Holland being one of the most popular choices for collectors.
