This is a high quality cut lead crystal bud vase, probably British in origin but maker unknown.
The vase is made from thick lead crystal and has an everted rim. This narrows and merges with the elongated body, which has a thickened base. The body is divided in to six panels by four circumferential wedge cuts that have been overcut by two elongated vertical cuts. The central squares are filled with an eight-pointed star cut. The panels above and below this are filled with fan cuts. The foot is thickened and cut with a band of notches around the edge. It is unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 14.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.1cm and across the foot of about 5.4cm.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some wear and tear scratches to the underside of the foot.
