This is a highly unusual German franking stamp block.
The block has a moulded metal stamp on the end that has a ring containing the words ‘DEUTSCHES ROTES KRENZ BRIEFSTEMPEL DER BEAUFTRAGTE FRANTREICH’.
The block has a measurement of approximately 3.8cm in length and 3.5cm wide.
It is in good condition for its age but it has suffered some minor surface corrosion at the edges.
