This is a nice example of a Beswick figure dating to the latter half of the 20th century.
The figure has been finely moulded, giving great detail to the feathers and facial features. These have been hand painted in black and orange, with small black patches at the base to show the feet.
The underside of the base is unglazed, revealing the underlying ceramic body to be white in colour. It is moulded with the number ‘1684’, although this is not easily discernible. In addition, it is printed with the words ‘BESWICK ENGLAND’ in an oval.
It has a maximum height of approximately 7.0cm and a maximum length of about 12.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
