Arklow Pottery ‘Willow’ Pattern Teapot

This is a nice example of a stylish blue and white ceramic teapot, in the ‘Willow’ pattern by Arklow Pottery and dating to the mid 20th century. The teapot has a rounded body, tapering in towards the base. The rim, neck, spout and handle are gilded and the exterior is decorated with the classic ‘Willow’ pattern in blue and white. The underside is marked in the centre with the words ‘WILLOW ARKLOW D’. It has a height of approximately 11.5cm, with a maximum width of 13.3cm and a diameter across the base of about 9.3cm. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some crazing to the glaze.
