This is a high-quality moulded and engraved paperweight or ‘Crystal Sculpture’, designed by Alfred Capredoni for Dartington Crystal.

This piece depicts a trio of owls surrounded by stylised tree branches, with realistic detail. The front is polished flat with one small area of engraving to the left; it appears to be stylised jagged twigs. The dragonfly logo is at the base on the right-hand side. The base is polished flat and unmarked.

It has a maximum height of approximately 9.4cm and a maximum width of about 12.4cm.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the base commensurate with age.
