Details

This is a highly attractive and unusual brooch, maker unknown but dating to the 19th century.

The brooch is made from a gold-coloured metal and is set with a number of irregular freshwater pearls with a central copper dome. The latter houses a dark green emerald-coloured stone.

The reverse has a horizontal pin fixture and shows metal threads where the pearls have been attached.

It has a width of about 2.0cm.

It is in excellent condition.
