This is a classic piece of Kitchenalia, probably dating to the 1920s.
The funnel is made in white earthenware with a clear glaze, which has some crazing.
The upper part is cylindrical and hollow to allow the escape of steam. Halfway down the funnel ‘steps’ out to a wider base, which has four arches along its lower margin.
On one side of the panel there is a transfer print, which reads ‘NUTBROWN PIE FUNNEL MADE IN ENGLAND’ and what I believe reads ‘REG. NO. 860928’.
The funnel has a height of approximately 7.3cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
